Why brands are important while selecting a Laptops?

While there are a lot of laptop manufacturers out there and are making the same laptops but there are some differences (quite small).

Ignoring the CPU/RAM/Hard disk.: -
Differences can be: -

1. Screen size and resolution (with touch or no touch)
2. Graphics chipset and VRAM (or none)
3. Chipset supported features (M.2, USB 3.1, etc)
4. Optical drive or not (Ultrabook)
5. Keyboard type, and feel
6. Battery type, weight and capacity
7. Case materials and finish (Aluminum is more expensive than plastic)
8. After sale service (You should confirm that your product is genuine or not by contacting customer care from there Toll-Free No. and should also be sure that there should be service centers in your locality).

Sometimes something important to you, may not be important to me, and I may choose a different feature to be more important than someone else.

When buying a laptop I start with a list of requirements, then research laptops that fit that bill.

After that then the manufacturer, design aesthetic, and bottom line come into play.
